Calm

Today’s word speaks of finding our center, the place within our being
where external conditions do not affect our true spirit. We have all
heard of the phrase “eye of the storm”, the center of solitude and
calm in the midst of the chaos of nature’s furies. Each of us also has
a place of calm centered deep within our being, the place at the heart
of us that is always tranquil despite outer conditions.

Those who practice meditation/relaxati on techniques work to access
this place of peace. Many struggle with life’s upheavals and “storms”
without knowing how to find that center which allows us to make more
informed decisions and choices, free from the whirlwinds of thoughts
and emotion.

Today’s word reminds us that mastering our world involves finding our
place of peace, that silent center that is our connection to our
source and to the Universe. True power lies in this silent center and
not in struggling against the forces of nature & external
circumstance.

Today’s Exercise:

Reflect on methods that you can use to help you find your center. Take
up a new activity that is relaxing and grounding: breathing
techniques, meditations, journaling, gardening, walking in nature are
just a few practices that can help restore a sense of connection and
inner peace.

Creativity

It always surprises me the number of people who proclaim “I am not
creative”. The truth is we are all creative by nature. An amazing
gift is born into each of us, which allows us to create our own
destiny. At any given moment, we are using our creative capacity to
mold and shape our lives through our decisions – and the actions we
decide to take based on them. Your thoughts, feelings, and your
Spirit are a combined source of creative energy & personal power.

For those who say they are not creative enough, today’s word
challenges you to look underneath what appears to be, and recognize
your own personal power. Your life is the canvas, and your choices
and actions determine what ultimately appears on that canvas. Do you
like what you are creating, or is it time to implement changes? Use
your natural abilities to create a unique masterpiece.

Today’s Exercise:

Find a creative new way to express yourself. Do
something different in your journaling, take photos, or make a
collage, paint/draw a picture, write a poem or short story based on
your life/circumstances. .. anything that helps you look at your life
in a different way.
